Action for Singapore Dogs (ASD) is a registered charity founded in December 2000 as a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the welfare of stray and abandoned dogs in Singapore. With a firm no-kill policy, ASD works to rescue and rehome these dogs while advocating for sterilisation to manage the stray dog population.
The organization promotes responsible pet ownership and raises awareness about the unique qualities of local crossbreed dogs, known as Singapore Specials. In addition, ASD collaborates with authorities and other groups to address the challenges faced by the estimated 8,000 to 10,000 stray dogs in Singapore.
